Language is more than code – it is culture, context, craft. For over 30 years I have been translating not just words, but meanings: between languages, between disciplines, between people.
The path here was anything but straight – from computer science through social sciences to language. Looking back, that was not a detour but a method: understanding how systems think and how people tick is precisely what makes a good translator. One of the few in the field who can work directly in source code when needed – because the subject matter is genuinely familiar.
